Alan R. Peterson, Co-Founder
Principal

Alan Peterson brings over twenty years of experience to Choyce Peterson. He currently serves as the U.S. Exclusive Leasing and Acquisition Representative for Pepsi Bottling Group.

Prior to forming Choyce Peterson, Peterson held such roles as a principal of the former Rostenberg-Doern Company and the Director of Corporate Real Estate for Champion International. He has worked with major corporations including GTE, American Brands, Mercedes-Benz Credit Corporation, James River Corporation and Cendant Corporation.

Peterson has resided in Fairfield, CT, with his wife and family for over twenty years. Peterson was proudly named Fairfield YMCA’s Volunteer of the Year, coached soccer and basketball for the Fairfield Recreation Dept. and served as Assistant Scoutmaster for BSA Troop #89. He and his wife, Susan, founded a girls backpacking club under the auspices of the Boy Scouts of America Explorer program.

Peterson holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Trenton State College and an MBA from the University of Bridgeport.

 

John P. Hannigan, Co-founder
Principal

John P. Hannigan is one of the two co-founders of Choyce Peterson, Inc. a company which began in 1997. John started his commercial real estate brokerage career in 1988 with the former Rostenberg-Doern Co.

As a broker, John has extensive experience in both tenant and landlord representation. He has represented tenants such as Abbey National, Pentegra Retirement Services and Northwestern Mutual. He has represented, as exclusive agent, over 1,000,000 square feet of buildings including 10 Bank Street, White Plains, NY and The Centre at Purchase, Purchase, NY. Over the past twenty years, he has successfully completed more than 350 transactions in the region.

Mack-Cali Realty Corp (formerly the Robert Martin Co.) named John the 1997 Broker of the Year; in 1998 he received their Customer Acumen Award, given to the broker who best understands his clients’ needs, and in 1999 John received two awards; one for the most transactions by an individual broker and the other for the largest Build to Suit transaction in Fairfield County; and in 2005 he received an award for the largest flex transaction in the region. John is a former Board Member of Table to Table, a food recovery program. He was an active member of the Westchester County Chamber of Commerce for eight years, serving on its Economic Development Council. John was the past President of the Exchange Club of Downtown White Plains, and also served on the Board of Directors of BOMA Westchester (Building Owners and Managers Association). John now serves on the Stewardship Committee of St. Mary’s Parish and has chaired the parish’s Time and Talent Open House.

Hannigan is a graduate of Fairfield University with a B.S. degree in Marketing. John resides in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his wife, Joan, and their three boys. He coaches his son’s basketball, and Little League baseball teams.

 

David L. Sims
Senior Vice President

David Sims brings over 30 years of commercial real estate experience with over 18 million square feet of transactions in leasing, acquisition, representation and financing to Choyce Peterson. His background of representing both the landlord and tenant side of a transaction brings an unusual perspective to the leasing, management and sales process.

Prior to Choyce Peterson, Sims was the Managing Director/Senior Vice President of the Westchester/Connecticut Division of Reckson Associates Realty Corporation where he was responsible for the formulation and execution of the division’s business plan comprising of 6.7 million square feet. Sims was instrumental in the repositioning and introduction of the 1.4 million square feet of office buildings along Westchester Avenue’s “Platinum Mile.” Prior to Reckson, Sims held the role of Senior Vice President at CB Richard Ellis. His clients included Taconic Investment Partners, Sentinel Real Estate, RREEF, INVESCO, UNITE HERE, Amalgamated Bank, American Capital, Gide Loyrette Nouell, Zephyr Management LP, KENMAR, Greenwich Capital, John Wiley, etc.

Before CB Richard Ellis, Sims held roles as the Senior Vice President of Vornado Realty Trust and Partner of Mendik Realty Corporation. His focus was on a myriad of leasing transactions and included the participation in the strategic repositioning of major assets and the supervision of the execution, thereof.

Sims resides in Old Greenwich with his wife, Jane, and their two children. He holds a B.A. in English from Syracuse University and is a graduate of New York University’s Real Estate Institute.

 

Jeffrey P. Williams
Vice President

Jeffrey Williams brings to Choyce Peterson over twenty years of Commercial Real Estate experience working for national firms such as Cushman & Wakefield, The Galbreath Company (now Jones Lang LaSalle) and the private firm of D.H. White. His expertise lies in tenant representation. Williams has represented First Union Bank (now Wachovia Bank); CapStar Broadcasting Partners; Tyler, Cooper & Alcorn; Shipman & Goodwin; Martin, Lucas & Choiffi; and Ryan, Ryan, Johnson & Deluca.

An avid golfer, Williams supports many local charities by donating his time and participating in many events throughout CT.

Williams is a long-time resident of Darien, CT where he lives with his wife and two children. There, he serves as a Zoning Commissioner for the Town’s Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA), Vice President of Darien Revitalization, Inc. (DRI) and the Chairman of DRI’s Economic Restructuring Committee. Williams holds a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from Syracuse University.

 

Steve S. Lash
Vice President

Steve Lash has been with Choyce Peterson since February 2000. In his current role, Lash focuses on client services and operations. He has worked on transactions on both a local and national level in over 25 states. He has gained vast experience in markets across the country working with brokers, owners and governmental agencies in order to successfully complete negotiations, financial/construction analyses and obtain incentive packages for clients. He is well-versed and experienced in the local Fairfield/Westchester County Market as well as across the United States. Lash has worked with a client roster including Pepsi Bottling Group, Daimler Chrysler Capital Services, Bankers Conseco Life Insurance Company and Columbus IT Partner USA.

Prior to Choyce Peterson, Lash worked at Warburg Dillon Read (UBS Warburg) in the Operations Data Control Department where he was responsible for supporting bond traders and TeCam Corporation as the Assistant to the President.

Lash is a third generation Stamford native who has volunteered for organizations such as Christmas in April, Habitat for Humanity, Kids in Crisis, The Domus Foundation and Big Brother/Big Sister Program of Stamford.

 

Bryan H. Campbell
Associate

Bryan Campbell has been with Choyce Peterson, Inc. since May, 2008. As an Associate and Licensed Salesperson, he is responsible for office space leasing, research, financial & market analysis and data management. In this capacity, Bryan brings a new outlook and vigor to our corporate real estate process. He is well-versed in new technologies, pairing this knowledge with client requirements and analysis. He is also an energetic addition to our sales team – relating to business development and matching tenant’s needs with our landlord clients.

Bryan is currently finishing his undergraduate degree program at the University of ConnecticutStamford. He is graduating in 2009 with a major in Business and Technology and a minor in Communications. He has served as President, Vice President, and Student Affairs Officer of the Student Government Association overseeing 50 senators. During his service there he has participated in many key projects on the UConn Stamford campus including the acquisition of a train shuttle, eliminating the need for students to walk over a mile each way.

 

Bryan currently resides in his hometown of Weston, CT. He has been an active member of the Weston Volunteer Fire Department since 2004 and is state certified at the Firefighter 1, and Firefighter 2 standard. He is also certified to the Hazmat Operational standard and as a National Incident Management Safety Officer. In addition to being a firefighter, Bryan is certified as a Medical Response Technician serving as a member of the Weston Volunteer Ambulance Squad since 2007.
