Direct Wines Relocates with the Help of Choyce Peterson December 4, 2009, Printed in Norwalk Citizen News Direct Wines, a multi-branch organization devoted to “wine discovery,” has relocated to a new site of more than 7,500 square feet at 20 Marshall St. in Norwalk, depicted at right. Direct Wines is a client of Choyce Peterson, Inc. (www.choycepeterson.com), a commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm. Due to rapid growth, Direct Wines had become cramped at its previous headquarters at 162 East Ave., also in Norwalk, and needed to rapidly establish occupancy at a new location. Choyce Peterson found a sublease situation with attractive rent and the tasteful look Direct Wines requested for its sophisticated clientele. Â
John Hannigan, co-principal of Choyce Peterson, said, “Direct Wines needed to move to a new location, and needed to do so fast. Thanks to our experience, we were able to find an ideal place suitable for their requirements, including location, price sensitivity and quick occupancy.”
Bentham went on to describe how their new headquarters has a spacious and creative feel, remains convenient for their employees and is a short walk away from shops and nearby restaurants. He attributes their growth to a single-minded focus on customer service and a unique international range of well-priced wines. Direct Wines runs WSJwine, a wine club, in association with The Wall Street Journal as well as Zagat Wine, a partnership with Zagat Survey. Customers enjoy a wide variety of top quality wines from smaller estates worldwide, with useful tasting notes available on every bottle. Other parties involved in the transfer included the landlord of the new location, Spinnaker Real Estate Partners, LLC, and the sublandlord’s broker, Paul Kaufman of Cushman and Wakefield. John Hannigan served as the account broker and point of contact for Choyce Peterson. For information, call 203-356-9600 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
