Amy Lerner joined Choyce Peterson in 2018 as Executive Vice President. She brings over 30 years of Commercial RE experience, working in the markets of Westchester and Fairfield Counties and Manhattan, as a Tenant Representative.
Prior to joining Choyce Peterson, Ms. Lerner was the co-founder of AMBAR Realty Group, LLC, one of the first women-owned commercial real estate firms with a Women’s Business Enterprise certification. Her experience with corporate service accounts from her former firm, CBRE, opened opportunities to secure accounts representing such firms as Altria and Securities Training Corporation, handling various transactions throughout the US.
Amy’s thorough and extensive experience in negotiating complex real estate transactions and vast knowledge of the markets covered translates to achieving the best deal terms for her clients. Focusing exclusively on tenant representation, she works closely with each operating division impacted in the transaction to identify the client's needs and objectives, providing information on various business and tax incentives, zoning issues and changes and offering strategic space solutions.
Ms. Lerner's major projects have included acquisitions and dispositions for financial/brokerage firms, insurance companies and the technology industries. The scope of her work included multi-market relocations, lease auditing, strategic planning, the development and implementation of occupancy cost reduction strategies through surrender of leaseholds, consolidations and advanced lease renewals. She has successfully completed over 420 lease transactions totaling more than 2,750,000 square feet with aggregate rent commitments in excess of $450,000,000.
Amy is a graduate of the University of Maryland and is active in various Westchester and Fairfield County Chambers and The United Jewish Appeal Foundation. She is an avid hiker and holds a volunteer position at the Hillside Food Outreach organization. She lives in Somers, NY with her husband and children.
